Hay-on-Wye lies on the Welsh side of the Welsh/English Border in the County of POWYS, Wales. There was also a Cheese Market and a China Market, although the latter was just an open space, as well as the usual livestock markets. The River Wye is the finest salmon river south of the border and is also popular for coarse fishing.
